She's beautiful, Bayek, I'll give you that. You're one lucky sod. I only wish that some of us could be so lucky. I never had much luck with my wife or being as happy a husband as I tried to be for her.
Course, I've got Jacob, I couldn't ask for more. It's so much more different having someone you love at your back, fighting for freedom right along with you.
It is not easy. The gods throw many obstacles in our way, and what is not meant to be will not be. And some things that are meant to be are taken from us.
It is good to know there is always someone besides you, even if they are many miles away.
These are the important things in our lives. Without them it is possible to be alive, but we do not live. Those that work for our cause all too often forget there are things just as important as freedom.
Aye, that is the tragedy of it. Though, our line of work can sometimes make it hard to find the right sort of connections, be they friendship or more. Let alone to keep such things without worry they may one day be taken from you or used against you.
Still, well worth it in the end. It makes the work and sacrifice that much more worth the fight.
